Early Times Report Reasi, July 11: Shri Shiv Khori Shrine is fast emerging as one of the major Shrine after famous Shiri Mata Vaishnio Devi Shrine in district Reasi. Shri Shiv Khori shrine is witnessing a heavy and increasing rush of devotees every day during ongoing Amarnath Yatra, 2016. This year upto July 10, 9,10,600 pilgrims have visited the famous shrine whereas during the same period in the corresponding year only 6,86,169 pilgrims visited the holy cave of Lord Shiva to pay their obeisance, thus there is an increase of 2,24,431 pilgrims over last year. Usually approximately 6000 to 7000 pilgrims are reaching Shivkhori for darshan of Lord Shiva these days & on 10-7-2016 the yatra figure touched 15,117 marks and one day yatra figure is expected to cross 20,000 marks during coming days. Moreover, the Amarnath Yatries waiting at Jammu, due to suspension of Baba Amarnath Yatra owing to three day Bandh call given by separatist in Kashmir, are turning up for this famous Shrine known for "Bhasmasur legend" and natural "Aap-Shambu" lingum at Shivkhori. Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board Reasi entrusted for facilitation of pilgrims and overall development of this famous shrine has taken all necessary steps for smooth conduct of yatra. Reasi Administration has geared up for providing all facilities to yatries. It is pertinent to mention that the shrine is witnessing many developmental activities after the enactment of the Shrine Board. Many facilities are being provided to the visiting pilgrims enroute 3.5 km track of the Shrine. Moreover, the famous "Bhamsmasur legend" attracts millions of tourist to pay obeisance at the Holy Shrine every year. This was stated by Mahesh Sharma, executive officer of SSKSB. |
