Clerical staff gears up for pen down strike today

JAMMU, July 11: To press its pending demands, the Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has resolved to hold pen down strike on July 12 and has urged its cadre to make it a success.
The representatives of Clerical Staff Association from various departments in an emergency meeting under the presidentship of Babu Hussain Malik appealed to all the clerical cadre employees and other employees of the State Government to observe complete Pen down Strike across the state on July 12. Members were urged to assemble in large number in front of Udhyog Bhawan, Rail Head Complex Jammu to show their solidarity with the clerical cadre employees to get the matter of Removal of Pay Anomalies once for all.
Speaking in this meeting trade union leader Babu Hussain Malik appealed to the government to implement the landmark judgement of the High Court vide SWP No. 3058/2015, MP No. 01/2015 in its true letter and Spirit regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre at an earliest.
The members of the Association also has condemned the previous state government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and the government wherein it was promised to fulfill all agreed demands of the employees.
Pertinently the main demand of the clerical cadre is Removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving Grade of 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant and 4500-7000 to senior Assistant and 5500-9000 to Head Assistant and Junior Stenographers notionally w.e.f 01-01-1996 and monetarily w.e.f 19-02-2003. Among promine nt present in this meeting were Bharat Bushan, Ashok Singh, Ansuya Gupta, Seva Ram Rathore, Meenakshi Sharma, Vipan Kumar, Yashpal Sharma, Vikas Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Munish Sharma, Uday Singh Pathania, Rakesh Singh, Javed Iqbal, Kapil Gupta, Lekh Raj, Om Prakash, Ajay Khajuria, Vinod Koul, Vikas Chander Mohd Sadiq and others.
