Youth Congress shall act as 'political ground force' for party: Sham

JAMMU, July 11: Sr Vice President JKPCC and former minister Sham Lal Sharma today exhorted the Youth Congress workers to join hands in strengthening the Congress and asked them to act as political ground force.
He said this while addressing the Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) workers assembled at daylong extended State Executive Workers Meet held at Sainik Farms Jammu here today.
Continuing its endevour to listen to problems of youths of state, the J&K Youth Congress today organized a daylong Extended State Executive Meeting at Sainik Farms,Jammu and held serious deliberations on various issues related to youth and unemployed educated lot of state.
The programme organised by Pranav Shagotra was attended by Sr Vice President JKPCC and former minister Sham Lal Sharma, Raman Bhalla Vice President JKPCC, Rajnish Sharma Co -Treasurer, Dr Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary IYC,Sita Ram Lamba National Secretary IYC, Manjit Singh Jatt Secy, JKPCC and others.
Speaking on the occasion Sham Lal Sharma launched a scathing attack on PDP-BJP alliance over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He said that from the day one of coalition regime the subversive forces being were given open arena to promote their anti India agenda.
He alleged that prime reason for failure to control the situation in the state was the NDA Govt at the centre had not taken timely action and was supporting PDP.
Sham exhorted the Youth Congress workers to join hands in strengthening the Congress and asked them to act as political ground force.
In his address Raman Bhalla said that youth congress is required to play a pivotal role to safeguards the rights of youth of the state. He also targeted PDP- BJP Govt for failing to ensure a trouble free Amarnath Yatra and claimed that worst type of situation prevailed in J&K during past few days.
Addressing the meeting Uma Shanker Pandey National Secretary Indian Youth Congress (IYC) described Youth as the backbone of the country and asked youth of today to take future responsibility of the country. He said that Congress leadership has conferred huge responsibility on the youth leader Rahul Gandhi, who has mobilized the youth power in entire country.
Asking the youth to make strenuous efforts to strengthen the party at the grass root level, Pandey said that youth will assigned special role and will get their due share.
In his address host of the meeting Pranav Shagotra said that youth is the real strength of India and Congress and hoped that strengthened with the youth force Congress will take command of the country in future. He also asked the youth to popularize the programmes and policies of the party among the people, especially in youth. PYC General Secreataries , Spokepersons, LYC Committee's, AYC Committee's were present on this occasion.
