Udhampur, July 11: Alleging water scarcity, the residents of W- 1 Chenani today came to street against the PHE department for failing to provide regular drinking water supply.
Raising slogans against the PHE authorities, protestors said that residents of the locality are deprived of drinking water for the last many days through the problems started some four months ago but it has aggravated in recent days.
One of the protestors Rohit Gupta said that no regular supply of PHE department in drinking water since main water supply pipe got some damages and started leaking. He added that since the pipe got damaged the locals in the area are getting water twice in one month. Protestors said that despite bring the issue in the kind attention of authorities nothing has been done in this regard.
Among others who also addressed the protestors included Anwar Husan, Sanjeev Gupta, Ajay Singh and Vikas Sharma. |
