Narco-smuggler held with 4 kgs Ganja | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 12: In continuation to the drive against drugs under operation 'Sanjeevni' initiated by SSP Jammu, Gangyal Police today claimed to have achieved a major success with the arrest of a drug peddler along with 4 kg Gaanja from a locality under Police Station Gangyal. "Acting on specific information a special naka was laid by Gangyal Police at Kunjwani Chowk and a pedestrian was signaled to stop for checking but the said pedestrian started running away and was caught after a hot chase, said police spokesperson. "On search of his belongings, police team recovered 04 kg Gaanja from the bag he was carrying", said police spokesman, adding that on questioning the said person disclosed his identity as Mohd Sakhi s/o Choudhary Mushi of Gunda Khwass -Budhal Rajouri presently at Digiana Camp Jammu. Police said that the arrest was made by Inspector Aejaz Ahmed Wani SHO Gangyal under the supervision of SDPO City South Sachin Gupta and SP City South Shezad Salaria. Meanwhile a case under FIR No 71/16 under section 8/20/NDPS Act was registered at Gangyal police station. Police said that questioning of the arrested is on to ascertain identity of other associates of the arrested. |
