Parivartan launches plantation drive

Jammu, July 13: Parivartan NGO today launched 'Green Jammu campaign in Jammu and conducted plantation drive at JMC Park, Sarwal. A large number of people from the area participated in the event where they dug up pits and planted saplings of flowering plants on a tract of land close to the Government School. During the drive more than 50 plants of various varieties were planted by the members along with the renowned persons of the locality. While providing the details about the Green Jammu campaign launched by their NGO, Chairman Parivartan Vikas Sharma said, "A large number of resources are depleted each day and it's important for us to preserve our environment to assure economic and social benefit for a longer period of time. "Like every year, their NGO has started the project Green Jammu to make Jammu greener. He further asked the people to plant more and more plants in their area, so that our Jammu becomes greener.
