7/13/2016 11:00:03 PM
Early Times Report

Poonch, July 13: the inhumane face of professional came fore in District Poonch when the Animals Husbandry Department utterly has failed to treat an ailing horse with legs injured which often is seen limping on road. If recalled here Veterinarian's Oath Being administrated to the profession of Veterinary Medicine says, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of knowledge in Veterinary Science.
But to its sharp contrast the Animal Husbandry Department professional and officials apparently have turned a blind eye towards the wounds of this creature.
Regretting the approach of said department, an eyewitness said, "Some days ago SHO Mendhar Anzar Mir managed to take the wounded animal to Animal Husbandry Department for treatment but as soon as the SHO left the spot the concerned veterinarian allegedly forced the ailing horse to flee from the spot. Some people of the area said on the humanitarian grounds the creature needs to be treated at Veterinary Hospital but when professional don't care for humans in this remote town how come compassion is sought for an injured animal. Meanwhile Chairman Youth Club Mendhar Adv Nadeem Rafiq Khan has appealed to its members to collect money for the treatment of the ailing horse at some private clinic. He also said that organization will also urge the DDC Poonch for his kind support to treat the ailing horse.
