Jammu, July 13: Panic gripped people in city outskirts here on seeing a movement of group of men in uniform in this winter capital of the state.
''Some civilians early morning intimated to the Police Control Room Jammu that four uniformed persons were seen to be suspicious in Chatha area on outskirts,'' Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu said. He said that accordingly the PCR Jammu immediately informed the in-charge Police Post, Chatha, who swung into action and reached the spot.
"It was found that the men were Army personnel of 18 madras battalion and have been already inducted in that area,'' said the SSP. |
