Two held with 10 gms of heroin | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 13: Continuing its drive against drug and narcotics smugglers/peddlers under Op Sanjivani, the police today claimed to have arrested two narcotics peddlers besides recovering 10 gms of heroin during a naka checking under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib. "The accused have been identified namely as Ravi Kumar s/o Yashpaul of Phinder Miran Sahib and Ankush Salgotra alias Tony s/o Ramesh Kumar of Mehmudpur Bishnah, police said According to police spokesperson, during naka checking in MIran Sahib police team intercepted two youths for their suspicious movements and during their frisking, the police recovered 10 gms of Heroin from their possession. "The duo was arrested on the spot and contraband was seized, police said, adding, "a case under FIR No. 110/2016 u/s 8/21/22/29/NDPS stands registered at Police Station Miran Sahib. Police further said that the duo was also involved in a firing case. "The accused have been subjected to questioning to know involvement of other cases, police said. |
