One killed, three others injured in Kishtwar accident | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar July 16: One person died while three others sustained injuries when a truck rolled down into a deep gorge on Kishtwar-Padder road near Dool, some 12 KM from Kishtwar town. A case stands registered in this regard and investigations are on. According to police sources, an ill-fated Truck bearing Registration No.JK02T-1021 on its way to Kishtwar after unloading Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) ration supply at Cherji village today rolled down into a deep gorge resulting into death of one person identified as Jaffer Hussain Bagwan S/o Mohammed Iqbal R/o Huller on the spot." "After receiving information about the accident, Kishtwar police under the supervision of Additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, officials of District Administration along with Red Cross volunteers and locals immediately rushed to the spot and started rescue operation, police sources said. "All the three injured were shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar from where one critically injured person identified as 62 year old Ashok Kumar s/o Mangat Ram Badyal r/o Wasser Kishtwar was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. "Other two injured identified as Mohammed Iqbal s/o Ab Majeed r/o Chatroo and Akther Hussain s/o Abdul Rashid r/o Dool Kishtwar are undergoing treatment at District Hospital Kishtwar and their condition is stated to be stable, police sources said. They said that a case stands registered and further investigations are on. |
