The order was passed by City Judge Mr Manhas in a Suit filed by Ajay Gupta, Vinod Gupta (present President) and Ashok Gupta through Aseem Sawhney Advocate with Anuj Dewan Raina and Neeraj Singh Advocates against Om Parkash Gupta (Election Commissioner) and Romesh Chander Gupta. Court passed order after hearing marathon arguments from both sides and observed that the plaintiffs have made out a prima facie case for adjudication by the Court and have been successful to cast shadow of doubts on process of elections held by the defendants. "Therefore in view of the compelling circumstances of the case, the Court is constrained to keep in abeyance the result declared on July 12, till the disposal of main suit. However, parties are at liberty, if they wish to conduct fresh elections. " the Court held. —JNF |
