JKSAC welcome HM's statement, urge government to translate into action | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 25:In the backdrop of Home Minister, Raj Nath Singh's visit to Srinagar, a successive meeting of Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee was held at Gadi Garh Jammu, that welcomed the assertions made by Home Minister and simultaneously by Sushma Swaraj and her spokesman Vikas Saroop wherein it was asked Pakistan to vacate POK and stop pushing terrorists inside the Indian territory and refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of India. In the meeting all the participants urged upon Govt. of India to give practical shape to their assertions/statements to resolve the Kashmir tangle once for all as DPs of 1947 from POK are the worst victims of this dispute and are awaiting their rehabilitations from the last 7 decades. While addressing the meeting, Gurdev Singh President JKSAC termed these statements as a positive step towards the vacation of illegal occupation of POK. He said that Kashmir issue would have been resolved much earlier, had India not returned back the areas of POK to Pakistan vacated by brave Indian soldiers after shedding their blood in the successive 1947, 1965 and 1971 wars. He said that India has committed many mistakes in the past particularly during the Kargil war, as instead of availing the opportunity to get free POK India got herself restricted only to flush out Pakistani soldiers-cum-terrorists from her soil. He also expressed his gratitude to State BJP for raising the issues of DPs of 1947 from POK and other categories during their meeting with Home Minister at Srinagar. Present in the meeting were Netar Prakash, Yog Raj, Doulat Ram, Rakesh Gupta, Mohan Singh and Harbans Singh. |
