BJP leadership sabotages senior leader's move to appoint his real brother as SHRC member | | | Early Times Report jammu, July 25: Giving giving free hand to a senior leader, who is holding important position in the government, to take policy decisions on its own, the BJP leadership has now started clipping his wings to show him power of party and the organisation. After forcing his wife to resign from the post of the party, the BJP leadership has sabotaged the move of the same leader to appoint his brother as a member of the constitutional body. Credible sources in the BJP circle disclosed that the same powerful BJP leader had tried to appoint his brother as member of the State Human Right Commission (SHRC) because he is trying to get all his family members and known persons on important positions. The said BJP leader managed to get name of his brother included in the panel of the members for the SHRC. Sources said party leadership was shocked when panel was brought before the leadership because name of BJP leader's son was figured on the top. Without discussing issue with the power leader, party leadership immediately sought help of another top leader to scuttle this move. Without informing the powerful leader, name of his brother was deleted from the panel. Credible sources further disclosed that since formation of PDP-BJP government in the State, this leader is projecting only his family members or known persons on important constitutional positions. Earlier party leadership had given him a free hand to take decisions but it has been decided to keep a strict vigil of any move of this leader because party leadership observed that his decisions were aimed at serving interests of only his known persons and family members. Importantly this leader is projecting either his family members or members of a particular community. Earlier this leader had played role in the appointment of some members of Public Service Commission despite the fact that those who were appointed as members of PSC had no association with BJP or affiliated organisations. Early Times had earlier reported that wife of the said BJP leader was removed from party posts after complaints by senior party leaders. |
