| Akhnoor/Chowki Choura zone, Marh/ Bhalwal zone, Jammu / Dansal zone win inaugural matches | | Inter Zonal District Competitions | | Early Times Report
Domana, Sept 8: Inter Zonal District Level competitions in the disciplines of Kho-kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi Boys U/19 yrs got underway here at Govt. HSS Domana today.
In all 230 Boys drawn from all the 14 Zones of District Jammu took part in the competitions. The two day competitions are being organized by the departments of Youth Services & Sports District Jammu as a part of annual calendar of activities of the department. The main objectives of these competition is to select the teams in these disciplines for district Jammu.
The competitions were organized under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Jt. Director YSS Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma DYSSO Jammu.
In Volley Ball Boys U/19 yrs, Akhnoor/Chowki Choura Zone beat Satwari/ Gandhi Nagar zone in 2 straight Sets ( 25-12, 25-17), Marh/Bhalwal beat Arnia/Bishnah zone in 2 Straight Sets (25-06, 25-16) and Jammu / Dansal zone beat R.S.Pura / Miran Sahib zone in 2 straight sets (25-19, 25-16)
In Kho-kho Boys U/19 yrs, R.S.Pura / Miran Sahib zone beat Jammu /Dansal zone by 6 pts. (12-6pts), Jourian /Khour zone beat Arnia / Bishnah zone by 2 (11-9 pts) and Bhalwal/ Marh Zone beat Gandhi Nagar/Satwari Zone by 1 turn and 8 points Kabaddi Boys U/19 yrs
The Semi-Finals and Finals in all the three sports disciplines shall be held tomorrow at the same venue. |
