As tensions escalate, South Asian countries mull counter offensive
Pakistan safe haven for terrorists

Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 8: After getting cornered, isolated and exposed over spreading terror in south Asian countries, Pakistan has been pushed on back foot as the whispers to dismantle terror machinery in the neighbouring country are becoming loud and clear.
Just a few days ago Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a veiled reference towards Pakistan at a recent G20 forum, said, "One single nation in south Asia is spreading agents of terror in countries of our region. Export of terror, growing radicalisation and spread of extreme violence are common security threats to our societies."
Assertions of Prime Minister Modi left Pakistan red faced and punctured its tall claims about it being a victim of terrorism itself.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Pakistan has become a safe haven for terrorists. All the wanted terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim, Syed Salahuddin, Hafiz Sayeed, Moulana Masood Azhar and others are in Pakistan. These wanted terrorists are into the business of selling death and destructions and exporting terror to the neighbouring countries."
He said, "Pakistan Army and its spy agency ISI patronize the terrorist camps run by these terrorists and even provide them with the financial aid."
It's in place to mention here that worlds most wanted terrorist Osama-bin Laden had taken refuge at Abbotbad near ISI headquarters in Pakistan. Laden was tracked and killed by the American soldiers.
A defence analyst said, "Pakistan has been fighting a proxy war with India in Kashmir since 1990 as Pakistani leaders know it very well that their army and artillery are no match to Indian Army. The memories of the befitting defeats which this country faced in conventional wars with India are still afresh in the minds of all Pakistanis."
He said, "Pakistan at present stands exposed before the international community and none of the countries are happy with it. Everyone wants Pakistan to wind up the terror machinery or get ready to face action."
As Pakistan is facing the heat it has started leveling baseless allegations against India. On Thursday Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman, Nafees Zakaria, alleged that India is financing terrorism in Pakistan. "Open evidence is available on India's involvement in subversive activities and India in fact is the single nation which is promoting terrors in south Asia," he alleged.
Ridiculing the statement of Pakistan FO, an analyst said, "It seems Pakistan has lost the plot completely. Pakistan is trying to shift the blame as the neighbouring country has realized that noose is tightening around it and their days could be numbered."
He said, "By leveling baseless allegations Pakistan won't achieve anything. If it really wants to exist as a country on the world map it should handover the terrorists to India, dismantle the terror machinery and camps otherwise the day is not far when Pakistan would have to face a collective offensive of the south Asian countries. Everyone has realized that Pakistan is a big threat to peace and it needs to be neutralized."
