Govt School Chadwal celebrates International Literacy Day

Kathua, Sept 8: Students of Government High School Chadwal, Kathua took out a rally to mark the International Literacy Day on the school premises The rally was organized to create awareness about the 'Education for all' policy of both the Union and the State Governments.
Principal of the school namely Kumari Rama, flagged off the rally. The students carried placards and banners with slogans such as 'Education is not a preparation for life, education is life itself,' 'A book is the most effective weapon against intolerance and ignorance,' written on them. The students and teachers took a pledge that they will do everything possible to eradicate illiteracy.
Present on the occasion were senior teachers including Anita Sharma, Sandhya ,Pritama ,Simal and Sushma, and General Line Teacher namely Karuna Bakshi, Jyoti Gupta, Suman Gupta, Meenu Jasrotia, Anuradha Sharma and Mosmi Sharma.
