The government has failed to provide monthly remuneration/wages to these workers since the formation of present coalition government in the state.
Dr Sharma said thousands of daily wagers/casual labours, CP and ITI workers are working tirelessly in the PHE department particularly and in general other departments like PDD, PWD, Forest, Tourism, Fisheries' and Rural Department for more than ten years in their respective department on nominal remunerations which they get off and on due to the lack of funds in concerned department.
"The government instead of recognizing their contributions towards the society trying to harass and discourage them by issuing such anti daily wagers orders and press statements, he added.
Dr Sharma criticized that it is very unfortunate that state government is non-serious to address their genuine demands even after making commitments during both Assembly as well as Parliament elections at highest level in every election rallies. "The false promises of BJP and its leadership have compelled the working class to agitate and come on roads for their genuine demands, he added while referring to on-going agitation of PDD daily wagers and casual labours.
