BJP remembers Tika Lal Taploo and other martyrs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13: Rich tributes were paid to Late Pt Tika Lal Taploo, Vice-President of BJP Kashmir on 27th Martyrs Day observed at KK Resorts, Jammu, besides this the tributes were also paid to those civilians and persons of security forces who have been killed by the terrorists. The programme was organized by BJP Kashmir Displaced District under its District President Chandji Bhat. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest BJP State President applauded the work done by Amar Shaheed Tika Lal Taploo and termed him as a symbol of nationalism and the voice of the Kashmiri people who never compromised on principles. "In the demise of Tika Lal Taploo during early period of militancy in Kashmir, not only BJP but the entire nation had lost a person who was face of nationalism in the Kashmir valley, he said while paying tribute to late leader. On this occasion a resolution on the return of the community to the valley was moved by Prof MK Raina and seconded by Secretary Ravinder Razdan was unanimously passed. The guest of honour Minister of PHE & Irrigation and Flood, highlighted the contribution of Pt. Tika Lal Taploo among Kashmiri Pandits and BJP in particular. Laxmi Koul from Kashmiri Samaj of London also paid her tributes to martyr. The gathering also paid tributes to Pt Premnath Bhat who was killed by terrorists in Anantnag and other martyrs also. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by PL Dhar and concluded by J L Pandita. Students from Vishwa Bharti School and Mahila Wing of BJP Kashmir Displaced District presented cultural programme even Veena Gupta, District President BJP Mahila Morcha also joined them.
