Son of BJP Minister runs transfer industry, makes big buck | Phone calls might spill beans | | Akshay Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13: Floating on the plank of "corruption free governance" the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) assumed power in the state, but its Ministers in coalition government have deviated from their ideology and are now busy in making big buck, by running the transfer industry and their wards have now taken the driver seat to run the industry. Son of one such BJP Minister is reportedly running transfer industry in the departments, being headed by his father and has been making frequent phone calls to the heads of the departments to get the job done. Sources informed Early Times that for the last many months, the officers of department have been getting phone calls from the Minister's son, who has been demanding money in return of transfer to their choice postings. "Only after the approval from Minister's son, the transfer lists in the departments are reportedly being approved by the Minister", sources said. "A Minister can call the officers of department and instruct them, but not his wards. Minister's son has kept directory of all the officers of the department, being headed by his father and frequently makes phone calls for making deals", an official of department said. "In our department, transfers have not been pursued as industry, but since the new minister of BJP has taken reins of our department, the industry has started flourishing", an official pleading anonymity said, adding that most of the officials in each district of state, have been getting phone calls from the Minister's son for getting their transfers done, or for others work done in return of pecuniary benefits to the Minister. They further informed that if the call details of the Minister's son are investigated, the whole transfer industry would be exposed. Sources further said that against the interference of Minister's son in the department's functioning and for making huge fortunes in last two years, a complaint was also lodged with the BJP high command and Rashtriya Sawaysewak Sangh (RSS) but so far nothing has been done. |
