Jammu, Sept 13: A meeting was organized by Virasat-E-Khalsa which was attended by various sikh Intellectuals and organizations . According to press release, the meeting was held under the presidium of S. Sukhbir Singh President Virasat-E Khalsa, S. Mohan Singh Baghi,(Advisor) and Comrade Sukhdev Singh, Convener, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk Coordination Committee. Prominent persons from different Organizations had attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Sukhbir Singh said that the various important issues of the Sikh Community have not been considered or taken up by the Government. The demands taken up during the meeting include, reconstruction of Gurudwara Charan Kamal Asthan Guru Dev Ji Ser Manjila, extension of Gurudwara Mutan Sahib Kashmir, construction of Gurudwara Sahib Sidh Baghchi Bhaderwah, declare the Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Nagar as Historical place and put them on Tourist map, the Shops of Municipal Committee in Chand Nagar falling in the precincts of Historical Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee be removed, change name of Kunjwani Chowk as BABA BANDA SINGH BHAHDUR CHOWK, beside others.
Col. Amarjeet Singh, Bibi Charanjeet Kour (Trade Union leader), Jagjot Singh Raina Vice Senior Leader Congress Kulvinder Singh President Gurudawara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar Jammu S. Rajinder Singh Brigadier, S. Baljeet Singh, , Ujagger Singh Tehsildar, Ishpal Singh Singh, Surinder Singh Shinda ( Sr. Vice President Nirvair Social Org), Jagjeet Singh (Vice President Nirvair Social Org), Indermindar Tar singh Jagbir Singh and Jadgeep Singh (general Secretary/Secretary Nirvair Social Org) Amarjeet Singh, Surjeet Singh Pinka, Gurmeet Singh Pinka, Inderpal Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Baljinder Singh were also present in the meeting. |
