Jammu, Sept 13: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today paid floral tributes to veteran Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta, on his first death anniversary. According to press release, a function was organized at JKPCC Headquarters Shaheedi Chock, which was presided over by President (PCC) G.A. Mir. Senior functionaries of PCC, Dist. Congress Committee Jammu Urban, Blocks and other prominent leaders attended the same. The function was organized by the DCC(U) . Prominent leaders who attended included Sham Lal Sharma Raman Bhalla, Kanta Bhan, Yogesh Sawhney, Ravinder Sharma, S.S. Channi, Manmohan Singh, Vikram Malhotra, G.L. Chalotra, Indu Pawar-President Mahila Congress, Shiv Dev Singh, Vicky Mahajan, K.L. Gupta, Neeraj Gupta , Thomas Khoker, Manjeet Singh Jatt Vijay Manhas, Kushal Bali, S. Kirtan Singh, S. Gajan Singh, Sahil Mahajan, sanjeev Sharma and others. The speakers paid rich tributes to Janak Raj Gupta for his relentless service to the society and the Congress party throughout his life. While paying tributes to JR Gupta, President JKPCC G.A. Mir remembered his contributions to the people of the State in different capacities during his long spell in public life. He advised his family members especially his son Vicky Mahajan to play an active role in the party and serve the society in order to fill the vacuum caused due to death of Gupta. Two minutes silence was also observed to pray for eternal peace to his soul. Prominent among those who attended the function are Dr. R.K. Khajuria, Madan Lal Malagar, P.S.
