30th Mata Pingla Devi Yatra, Navratra festival begins at Ramnagar 10/1/2016 10:52:38 PM Early Times Report ramnagar, Oct 1: The 30th Mata Pingla Devi Yatra and Navratra festival begins at Ramnagar today with the lightening ceremony of Akhand Jyoti. The sacred Akhand Jyoti lit by Swami Ram Dev in a glittering function at Pinga Devi Chabutra . The programme starts with Hawan yagya followed by Dhwaza rohan and Puran Ahuti. Thereafter amidst Vedic mantras Swami Ram Dev lit the Jyoti with religious rites. On this occasion local artists and students presented Bhajans and cultural programs.later Swami ji threw light on the importance of Navratra. The organiser of committee Vinay Jandial Speaking on the occasion said that the Yatra was started way back in the year 1987 by late O P Jandial and after that the Yatra become an annual feature during Navraras. He further said that Akhand Jyoti committee in its long history of thirty years tried it's best to develop the Pingla Devi shrine & other places of Ramnagar . He disclosed that the Jyoti will be taken to Mata Pingla Devi Bhawan on 2nd Oct. On this occasion a Bhandara was also organised by committee at Narsingh ji Temple.In the evening Shoba Yatra of Mata Pingla Devi taken out in Ramnagar town in which thousands of people participated. Alarge number of people were also standing on the either sides of the road who were showering flowers .chanting Bhajans Of Mata Pingla a large number of students and artists & devotees accompanied the Yatra in a blissful manner.
