Jammu, Oct 1: Will the surgical operation carried out by Indian troops alter the scenario in violence hit Kahsmir? Possibilities seem remote because separatists have their separe calender and militants have their separate programme. With increasing opposition to Pakistan coupled with added demand for declaring Pakistan a terrorist state, Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif seems to have lost his balance, mental balance to be precise. And that is the reason for Nawaz Sharif to claim that the Uri terror attack could be the result of a "reaction" of the people to the situation in Kashmir as he criticised India for blaming Pakistan "without any evidence".
Those who attacked the Army camp in Uri were Pakistani nationals,in fact they were terrorists from Pakistan. How can Nawaz Sharif imagine that the Uri terror strike could have been a reaction of people against alleged atrocities.Were the protesters right when they indulged in violence,indulged in clashes with the security forces in protest against the killing of Burhan Wani,a militant commander whom Nawaz Sharif described as as a leader. Well Pakistan has suggested to India that Islamabad was willing to have dialogue with India for the purpose of settling the bilateral problems.
One does believe that the latest stand taken by Pakistan is the outcome of two developments in India.One that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi,had a detailed meeting with the Chiefs of the Army,Air Force and the Navy in order to find out whether India was ready to vow the killing of 18 soldiers in Uri.
"The Uri attack can be the reaction of the atrocities in Kashmir, as the close relatives and near and dear ones of those killed and blinded over the last two months were hurt and outraged," Sharif told reporters yesterday in London where he had stopped on his way back from New York after attending the UN General Assembly session.
This is atrocious because the terror strike could have not been carried out by people with lathis or with stones.It was an immaculate exercise that could have been carried out only by terrorists and that too holding sophisticated weapons and powerful explosives.Sharif said that India hastily blamed Pakistan without any investigation. He said India behaved in an "irresponsible way" when it blamed Pakistan "without any evidence"."How could India accuse Pakistan only hours after the Uri incident without holding any inquiry or investigation," Sharif was quoted as saying by Pakistani media reports
Well all infiltration bids are being carried out by Pakistan with the aid of the Army.During the last 27 years attacks on camps of security forces and the Army besides terrorist strike on the convoys of the Army were carried out by terrorists from Pakistan. Was the Pathankot air base attack carried out by people in Punjab who continue to enjoy all the fundamental rights and are governed by a democratically elected Government? Certainly not. The Pakistan NIA too has been told about the involvement of Pak terrorists in Pathankot air base attack when the Pak NIA members visited the site at Pathankot. Was the Mumbai terrorist strike carried out by Indian civilians because they in Maharashtra enjoyed all fundamental rights?
The Mumbai attack could have not been possible by people even with arms and ammunition.The attack has been perpetrated by Pakistani agencies and by extremists whom India has named for Mumbai attack have not been handed over to India? Well despite all the preparations for carrying out surgical operations India may not take any risk which could annoy other world leaders including the UN. These leaders and the UN have supported the process of dialogue that too bilateral one and India has shown patience. Let it show more of it till Pakistan stands isolated.Well India had lost patience and the surgical operation across the LOC in which 38 terrorists were killed displayed how much India was irritated and annoyed with the strategies and tricks of Pakistan Army and the ISI. |
