Early Times Report
jammu, Oct 1: Indian soldiers crossing the Line of Control (LoC) and destroying the launching pads of terrorists there may bring out "rats (terrorists) out from their holes" in Jammu and Kashmir, sources told Early Times on Saturday.
"Soldiers crossing the LoC have rattled the terrorists leadership in PoK as India retaliating first time in the past 26-years came has come as a big shock for them. At present they are busy assessing the losses and may be devising a new strategy to target India ," said a source.
He said, "Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies are gearing up to counter the terrorists who may be asked by their bosses to attack the security forces in JK."
The source said, "Since the day Indian soldiers have crossed the LoC terrorists present in JK are maintaining a low profile. It seems they are waiting for the orders from their bosses. Terrorist activities may increase in JK and there is every possibility of them trying to sneak into Jammu or other states."
It's in place to mention here terror mastermind and Jamaat-ud-Dawaah chief Hafiz Saeed had threatened: "Every Indian will be taught what real surgical strikes are.''
Sources said, "People at the helm of affairs are aware of the fact that Pakistan Army won't retaliate but the terrorists harnessed by them won't sit quietly. At present terror masterminds have been asked to maintain silence and not to react but they are likely to ask their men, who have infiltrated into this side, to intensify their activities and make their presence felt."
They said, "JK Police and other security agencies have tightened the security around the vital installations and have asked the politicians to move cautiously. Terrorists may try to do something big in coming days to avenge the surgical strikes in PoK."
A Kashmir watcher said, "Pakistan Army may resort to firing along the LoC and the borders but it won't try anything big as their generals know it very well their Army is no match for Indian Army. Pakistan knows it very well that terrorists are its strategic assets and it would definitely ask them to launch a counter offensive."
He said, "Pakistan at present stands isolated as all the countries have pulled out of the SAARC summit. In fact none of the SAARC countries have raised any objection over India crossing the LoC and carrying out the surgical strikes in PoK."
An analyst said, "We know Pakistan is a rogue state and it can go to any extent to cause damage to its neighbouring countries. It is a breeding ground for terrorists who are out to destroy the world. So we need to be cautious so that their nefarious designs are foiled." 'After surgical strikes, rats may come out of holes'
