Freedom Chacha' booked under PSA

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 1: The government has finally decided to throw hardcore stone-pelting instigators into jails and is hopeful of complete turn around in the situation within next few days.
A day after arrest, one of the top functionaries of the separatists camp and slapping PSA against him, another top instigator with a self-assumed name 'Freedom Chacha' has been arrested and booked under PSA. He too is likely to be shifted to Jammu.
Maulana Sarjan Barkati, who was also called as 'Freedom Chacha', was the top instigator of stone pelting. He would specifically instigate youth.
"He is a top class instigator who used to brainwash gullible youth with weaving story about azadi and in a manner that the he could cast a spell on them. He could immediately catch the imagination of the youth about so-called azadi. They would then come out in hundreds on roads and start pelting stones," said a stop police official.
Source said this instigator would even post videos of 'azadi' rallies which were also toxic and highly rhetorical. He was one of the top culprits who forced the government to snap internet services in Jammu.
"He first instigated youth, forcing them to take to stone pelting and in the process many got killed. And ironically he called himself as Chacha, a name associated with former PM Pt Nehru. He is perfect example how things are twisted for diabolical design; so we could not have allowed him to be move freely," said the official.
