Jammu, Oct 1: The chain hunger strike which was started on 26th of Sept., 2016 against the misdeeds of Director Education Jammu in the wholesale transfers of Masters/Lecturers by flouting all the norms of transfer policy has entered its sixth day as fresh batch of four masters under the leadership of Yuvraj Singh Pathania Distt Vice President, Kathua Ajaib Singh Distt Secy Jammu Arjun Sharma Vice Present Barnoti & Chander Shekhar Zonal Secy Jammu.
Earlier the JKTF had extended the hunger strike for five more days till 5th of Oct, to press for early redressal of their grievances. It is very unfortunate that Director School Education Jammu is not available to the needy and aggrieved employees visiting the Directorate for the last so many days, by which the working of Directorate is badly affected.
Ganesh Khajuria State Gen. Secy. while addressing the gathering warned the Education authorities to desist from the Confrontational approach adopted towards teaching Community and put the things in order by modifying all the genuine and deserving cases without any further delay, as the delay on the part of authorities has already enraged the teaching Community which may explode at anytime and the whole responsibility will lie on the authorities.
The leadership also discussed various hard options available with the forum to get their grievances resolved. The forum vowed to further intensify the struggle to reach at some logical conclusion.
