10/1/2016 11:09:47 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 1: Two civilians were injured when suspected militants hurled two hand grenades late last evening in south Kashmir district of Shopian, where business and other activities remained crippled during the day due to strike and restrictions on assembly of people. Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a police station at main chowk Shopian. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded in the compound without causing any damage. Immediately after the first attack, militants also hurled a hand grenade at a police station at Batapora chowk in Shopian. Grenade exploded with a big sound resulting in injuries to two civilians who have been rushed to district hospital. Security forces launched search operations at both the places to nab the militants responsible for these attacks, they said.
