Excise deptt conducts raids in Bishnah/RS Pura 10/5/2016 10:40:30 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 5: In order to curb the menace of illicit distillation of liquor, illegal smuggling of liquor from other states, the J&K Excise department has intensified raids of various locations of Bishnah/ RS Pura to check the offences being committed. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Excise Commissioner, T Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Excise teams led by ETO, City Excise Range South Jammu Naeem Mughaland ETO, Eradication Wing Jammu Suresh Sharma assisted by Inspector Ritesh Gupta today conducted a series of raids in which one person Pooja Devi W/o Kewal Krishan R/O Kotli Charkan was arrested and booked under section 48 of JK Excise act 1958. Four bottles of Illicit Liquor were recovered from her possession. Besides this one working still, 400 Kg of lahan and six bottles of illicit liquor made from lahan which is highly hazardous and injurious for health were recovered by the raiding team from the state land and destroyed on the spot.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
