Samba Police provides succour to public for depositing & exchanging currency | | | Early Times Report Samba, Nov 15: In a major initiative taken by Samba Police following the declaration of Rs.500 and 1000 note as no legal tenders which resulted into huge rush of people outside the banks/ATMs for exchanging/depositing their old currency notes, provided helps to the general public at various banks in Samba. According to press release, the initiative was taken under the supervision of Inspector. Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba and Varinder Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs. Samba meeting high values of courtesy pitched a tent outside the J&K Bank Main Branch Samba to help the old aged/illiterate people for having their forms filled up through special deployment of Officers/officials of P/S Samba outside the said Bank. In addition to the deployment of police near other bank branches falling in the jurisdiction of District Samba for smooth regulation/transactions and avoiding of any law and order problem, this is the initiative of its fist kind taken by Samba Police to provide a great succor to the general public visiting Banks. Besides helping the elderly/illiterate people in filling up the forms, adequate numbers of chairs have been kept outside the Main Branch J&K Bank Samba for proper arrangements of the public besides arranging light refreshment for them who had to wait for hours together in the long queues. |
