Jammu, Nov 15: Ripping apart the shutdown calendar thrust on the people by separatists, Kashmiris are openly defying the separatist diktats.
People said the modus operandi invented by separatists to keep Kashmir on fire by engaging innocent people has been ultimately exposed with people from various walks of life refusing to oblige separatists and revolting against them.
Sahid Iqbal ,a shopkeeper said that with the scrapping of 500 and 1000 currency notes after 8th of this month, the sinister plans of separatists to continue unrest in valley have been dashed to ground with their own henchmen showing helplessness to engage stone pelters and miscreants for hooliganism due to non availability of cash of high denomination now declared defunct by the government.
Abdul Rashid told that with normalcy gradually limping back in valley, the majority of transporters, who remained idle for four months obeying shutdown calendar are visibly coming out for resuming their transport business to earn livelihood.
They have finally realized the futility of campaign launched by separatists for attaining azadi which has turned out a big flop aimed at ruining the future of people belonging to different strata of society in the state.
Sources told that the failure of so called azadi movement has created ripples and rifts within the cadres of separatists now demanding introspection of flaws which led to sabotage their plans for perpetuating unrest in the valley.
The smoldering resentment of general kashmiris’ can be measured from the fact that larger interests of school going children was pushed to walls by separatists hindering their studies, said an educationist wishing not to be named.
After the government announced holding of exams, the parents of the students came out openly to send their wards for appearing in the examination in various identified centres foiling the attempts of anti kashmiri forces to prod student fraternity to play with their academic career, he added.
A Kashmir watcher said that majority of people of the State, especially of Kashmir are of the opinion that bright future of their generation lies with India and cannot be safe elsewhere despite vain hopes kindled by separatists under the garb of seeking azadi. This is nothing but to fulfill their (separatists) mischievous agenda hoodwinking people of Kashmir, he added.
He further said that now student community is mustering courage and seems up in arms against the wrong policies of Hurriyats who have tarnish their clean image in whole of the country where they have to compete in different fields for bright career and job opportunities to lead a honourable life.
Locals from Kashmir said that people are ready to open their business establishments and more are doing so for which the government is providing adequate security cover, although the miscreants are still trying to force shopkeepers to shut down shutters wherever they get chance, but in vain as the general masses are now feeling sick of nuisance created by separatists, they added.
Kashmiris’ have the distinction of living with amity and known for extending immense hospitality in the world, said Shakil Ahmed, senior citizen adding that the people are eagerly waiting to get riddance from daily shutdown calls by few separatists headed by old hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
They should stop and shut their shop of spreading venom in the minds of people in general and young generation in particular who pine to live with dignity and peace in the state, he added. |
