Jammu, Nov 15: Taking cognizance of ET report regarding illegal construction on state land in, Lower Choawdi area, Revenue department today demolished under construction building.
According to sources a team headed by Tehsildar Bahu rushed on spot and demolished the under construction building. The tehsildar, according sources, warned stern action, if anyone tried to construct any structure over said land in future.
"The team, that demolished the under construction building was constituted on directions of Divisional Commissioner Jammu", sources said. They said that the construction had commenced on Sunday. However, the matter was brought into notice of local authorities, but the work continued till Tuesday morning, when the revenue official rushed on spot," sources added.
Earlier, through newspapers, the district administration had informed the general public the said land belonged to state government, and any type of encroachment would not be allowed. |
