Hotel owners, vendors idle for past 4 months, seek compensation | Kashmir unrest hits business at Patnitop, Sanasar | | Danish Mohammad

Ramban, Nov 15 : After the recent unrest start in Kashmir Valley the famous tourist destination spot Patnitop and Sanasar situated on Boder of district Ramban and Udhumpur are looking deserted now a days. The tourists came here every year from the state and out side the sate as well as country are not coming here from last four months. The hotel owners, shopkeepers have no work from last four months. Shawl vendors and hourse owners who come here for earning some money from the tourists are idle and they are suffering with out work. A local house owner Mushtaq Ahmed said that he was earning the amount here from past so many years and during the peak season in summer he has earned the amount for the season every year but due to the unrest from last four months he earned not a single penny in the season. One more hotel owner said that that had pay the rent of four months of his hotel without any work in Patnitop. The famous tourist destination spot in district Ramban of Jammu province Patnitop and Sanasar are looking desert now a days and it loses its sheen and shine. It is pertinent to mention that in every season the tourists from different areas are coming here to spent the holidays with their families. The unrest in Kashmir also affects this tourist destination and tourist about none vists here from last four months said locals. The hotel owners and other business mans, hourse owners and vendors are demanded to government that give them compensation so that they can survive a little. Some hotel owners of Patnitop said that from the month of July up to the November incompare to last year the tourist rush in these months are near about to zero. |
