| Bike lifter held with stolen bike | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 15: District police Poonch today have arrested a bike lifter alongwith a stolen motorcycle which was recovered from his possession.
As per police sources, the one Suresh Kumar Dutta s/o Ram Parkash r/o Salootri approached P/S Poonch that lodged complaint with police that his motor cycle Passion Pro Colour Red & Black bearing Registration No Nil, Chasis No. GM 39569 was stolen on November 12/13 from Dara Dhullian.
Accordingly the concerned police registered a case under FIR No184/16 u/s 379 RPC was registered at P/S Poonch.
"Acting swiftly, police laid special nakkas and conducted raids at various places and intercepted one person namely Raiz Ahmed s/o Abdul Ghani Sheikh r/o Lohran Tehsil Mandi who on questioned confessed his crime and stolen bike was recovered from him, police sources said, adding "further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases." The whole operation was conducted by a Police team led by DySP (Hqrs) Poonch Mohan Lal Sharma under the supervision of SSP Poonch J S Johar. |
