Clerical cadre leaders denies reports of 'pen down strike' on Nov 16-17 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 15: An emergency meeting of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Department Clerical Staff Association, was held under the presidium of Anil Mehta (Chairman), Ravi Singh Bhau (President), Sukhbir Singh (General Secretary and Ravi Kumar Sr Vice President in which members announced that there is no pen down strike on Nov 16-17 by some self styled leaders. As per the release the participating members rejected the Pen Down call given on dated 16th & 17th November 2016 by the some self styled leaders. Union leaders appealed the Clerical fraternity to work on the said dates in the better interest of Government work and public in general as there is 'no strike call' on November 16-17. They added that a particular self styled leader has given a call just to divide and mislead the clerical cadre. Speaking on the occasion Ravi Singh Bhau said that on the one hand they used the name of the Association illegally and had filed litigation and on the other side they had given strike call which is unjustified. All Department Clerical Staff Association led by Ravi Singh Bhau, Mohd Sultan had already meet the governments for removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and is in active consideration of the Government. Sukhbir Singh General Secretary of the association has appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and concede to the genuine demands. They reiterated their demands including Removal of the pay anomaly of 5th Pay Commission by granting the pay scales, Rs.4000-6000 to Junior Assistant Rs.4500-7000 to Senior Assistant/Steno Typist/Junior, Statistical Assistant 5500-9000 to Head Assistant/Junior Stenographer/Statistical Assistant, Regularization order of Daily rated workers/ Adhoc/contractual/Need base. Among prominent present in this meeting were Anil Mehta, Bashir Ahmed, Mohd Sultan, Ravi Kumar (Sr Vice President), Brijesh Mehta (Secretary) Geelani Naik, Yash Paul Sharma (Distt President Jammu) Manohar Singh (District President Kathua) Balbir Singh (District President Udhampur) and Kuldeep Kotwal. |
