JAMMU, Dec 6: The excise department, Jammu, has booked a bootlegger while destroying lahan and illicit liquor during raids in some Kathua areas.
The raids were conducted in some Kathua areas, including Chakdrabkhan, Dadoli, Mirpurjaggu Saktachak, Banyari, Ladwal and Kunderchak, following reports of manufacturing and sale of illicit liquor at all these places, official sources said.
500 kilograms of lahan and 30 bottles of illicit liquor were destroyed on the spot by the excise department sleuths, sources informed.
A woman bootlegger was also booked during the raids. She was identified as Sakina Devi, wife of Som Dass of Chak Sakta. |
