'Corrupt ministers would destroy BJP' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Corruption in the J&K state has not diminished during the last two years of governance under BJP rule…..if elections are held at this point of time, the party would be completely wiped out as the BJP ministers are indulging in corrupt practices …! These are no allegations from any opposition party against BJP but an outcry of own leaders and functionaries that was poured out openly in front of party's national leader Ram Madhav today during a formal meeting at party headquarters. A separate close door meeting was held by Madhav with ministers of the party late in the evening in which they were pulled up over their 'performance'. Sources said BJP stalwart Ram Madhav could not asked for nor expected this tumultuous anger made in one voice by none other than the party functionaries against own government and the ministers. While he addressed the meeting today after arrival from New Delhi, this response came as out in the form of volcanic anger that has been simmering for a long time against the sitting ministers of the party. While this commotion in one voice was expressed against the party ministers in general for what they alleged as having damaged the party image beyond control, a couple of ministers were blatantly and openly hit by naming them and their ministries which had a dismal performance, sources added. Sources further said the functionaries while making their point said there was no difference in corruption scene of the governance where BJP was an equal partner of the government now and what it was during the previous regimes when the party would raise the issue in a loud voice in opposition role. Sources further said as the party at center was spearheading this campaign in a vigorous manner, the same was not being followed in spirit in the state where this issue has been pushed aside by the ministers who were oblivious of even their own party workers, sources said adding that the resentment was expressed in front of Ram Madhav for the conduct of the ministers who were shabbily treating their own party men. Sources further said that the functionaries spoke about the performance of the ministers which they alleged was dismal besides they having diminished their stature to the extent that not only the bureaucrats but even lower rung officials were defying their orders. |
