Jammu, Dec 6: In a scathing attack on National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah for his 'dubious' statement on Kashmir, the netizens termed him a hypocrite and slammed him for changing stance from time to time.
A netizen wrote, "It was the same Sheikh Abdullah who not only called off freedom struggle but called it waywardness. It was Omar Abdullah who wanted to bomb Masarat Alam instead of arresting him. It was the same Farooq Abdullah who supported Task Force and renegades to create havoc in the Valley".
Another user termed the statement of Farooq as drama and hypocrisy. He wrote, "The National Conference is only rubbing salt on the wounds of Kashmiris by making statements like these. Their hypocrisy can be seen in the difference between what they say when in power and when out of power. When they were in power they used to talk about bombarding Pakistan, now they are talking about uniting with Hurriyat to regain power, much like the PDP who have been playing Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde before and after 2010".
Terming Dr Abdullah as a versatile actor, a user wrote, "Nodoubt Farooq Abdullah is a class actor but today he has proved that he is the versatile comedian also."
Calling him a chameleon, a user wrote, "He changes colour like chameleon…In Kashmir they are communal, in Jammu they are secular & in Delhi they are nationalist. So please stop making us fool."
Taking dig at the former CM, a user wrote, "Wait!!! Has he asked his MLAs to resign from assembly in order to send a clear message across.... Ask him Ranveer Singh is waiting for him on the dance floor..." Mocking the statement of Dr Abdullah, one of the users asked the Additional Spokesperson of National Conference, "What is Farooq sahab smoking these days?"
Pertinently, Dr Farooq Abdullah had said that his party was not against Hurriyat Conference and supported Kashmiris' demand for azadi.
