Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu University continues to make mockery of education system. In a latest incident, an Examination Superintendent has allegedly tampered with the attendance report of the supervisory staff appointed to perform examination duties. A document available with Early Times reveals that Ist Semester examination of Maths was conducted in centre No: 100, DDE Hall A, on 22-1-2014 where Dr. Hina Abrol, Superintendent, appointed Dr. Shubra Jamwal as Deputy Superintendent, Ajeet Singh as Assistant Superintendent, and Sheetal, Princy Sharma and Jeet Lal Sharma as Supervisors. Another document obtained through RTI revealed that the payment made by the Superintendent to those who performed examination duty did not match with the attendance report sent by Dr. Hina. It was found one Deepti Manchanda, a scholar, who did not perform examination duty was paid, deleting the name of Jeet Lal Sharma, Supervisor, while submitting the bills along with attendance report to the Examination Section. Sources told Early Times that since Jeet Lal Sharma of the clerical level was not eligible to perform the duty as Supervisor shown in the attendance sheet, the name of Deepti Manchanda was allegedly incorporated in the attendance report subsequently furnished along with the bills to the Assistant Registrar (Accounts) for release of payment. This matter of brazen forgery was brought to the notice of the then Controller of Examination, but to no avail. |
