JKRCEA organizes meeting, highlights issues | Block level committee of JKRCYS constituted for Bhalwal, Marh | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA), a non-political organization of Employees, Retired Employees, Youth, Women & Socio-religious Groups in collaboration of Bhagat Mahasabha organized a large meeting of unemployed youth and students in Domana in which thread bare discussion was done regarding constitutional rights for SC/ST/OBC's and their implementation in J&K. It was discussed at length regarding provisions of reservation for SC/ST's and their improper implementation by the state government. It was also stressed to vigorously counter those who want to end caste based reservation and do not want to end caste to maintain their hegemony. It was stressed by all speakers that in order to maintain communal harmony the state government must desists such forces in vitiating peaceful atmosphere of Jammu province. Bodh Raj Bhagat, Senior Vice President of Bhagat Mahasabha stressed upon large scale unity of SC/ST/OBC for defeating nefarious design of those who are hell bent upon suppressing these categories. He said that no stone shall be remained unturned to get the reservation in promotions implemented in J&K and also the stay order of Supreme Court against DB verdict of striking down reservation in promotions. He said that the Apex court has already stayed Division bench order in writ titles Naseeb Singh & ors, hence it becomes duty of Law Minister & Chief Minister to get the Stay Order implemented for the benefit of reserved categories of J&K. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Bhasin welcomed the Youth and Student committees of Raipur Domana and Marh JKRCEA committees and deliberated on various constitutional rights of reserved categories. He also dwelt at length regarding SC/ST Component Plans for development of these communities. He also stressed upon need for better education for SC/ST/OBC children so that they can compete with open categories who are having better socioeconomic facilities. A Block level committee of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories youth & students (JKRCYS) was constituted for Bhalwal and Marh Block to work at grass root levels for the constitutionl rights of these communities. The committee included Joginder Bhagat, Sanjay Bhagat, Vicky, Dilber Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Varinder, Vinay, Ram Paul, Deepak, Shubam, Varinder , Ram Pal. Others who spoke on occasion was Jai Kumar, Romy Kumar, Raj Ali, Bhag Ali and others. |
