Bhandari criticizes Health Minister for shortage of Doctors | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 6: A renowned social activist of District Kishtwar, Joginder Bhandari has strongly criticized the Health Minister, Bali Bhagat for shortage of Doctors and para medical staff in the District hospital Kisthwar. Bhandari in his statement has said that the Health Minister, Bali Bhagat in the recent past had deputed specialists in District hospital Kishtwar but after some time , he transfered the specialists as a result of which the poor patients are suffering badly which has caused a brewing resentment among the public of the district. He also said that there was no Radiologist in the hospital in order to operate the ultrasound machine for which the patients have to suffer a lot. Bhandari further added and said that the poor patients were forced to purchase medicine from the market which everybody cannot afford and minor patients are referred to GMC Jammu as no doctor takes responsibility while everything is available in the hospital except specialists. He also said that the wards and bathroom of the hospital are not cleaned which gives foul smell and the bed sheets are not changed regularly. Bhandari said that a large number of para medical staff stands attached in the District hospital Kishtwar for which the minister concerned was claiming that there shall be no attachments of Doctors and para medical staff in the hospital. |
