| JD (U) demands relaxation in air tax for Ladakhi air travelers | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 22: Janata Dal (United) today said that Ladakh region remains closed for six months and during these months people of the region face immense hardships.
In a statement issued to the press, state president Janata Dal (United) GM Shaheen said that the people of Ladakh region have to travel by air to reach to different locations but they are charged with air tax which is injustice with them.
State Government should do away charging the air tax from the people of the Ladakh region. He further said that only 15 Kgs of belongings are allowed for the people of Ladakh travelling by air which is another injustice with the people of the region.
He said that governmentt should allow people to carry 30 Kgs of belongings so that they donot suffer for want of their rights. Shaheen said that if the state government didn't pay any heed to the demands of the people of Ladakh region, the party will stage protest. |
