| Bar Association Kathua stops vehicle of CB, reiterates demand of CBI inquiry in Asifa case | | |  Harpreet Sethi

JAMMU, Mar 22: Members of Bar Association blocked road for vehicle of Crime Branch, that was returning after one of the alleged culprits was brought to District sessions court Kathua. The members of Bar Association raised slogans demanding CBI enquiry into the case. Talking to media persons Advocate Himanshu Sharma said Asifa was like our daughter and we want justice for her. He said that exemplary punishment be given to the involved persons so that no one in the future thinks of carrying out such a crime. "We want fair and impartial probe into this brutal and shocking murder case. We have been demanding only the CBI enquiry in Asifa Bano murder case, but state government led by Mehbooba Mufti had declined our demand. The people of Jammu want to know why she is doing this. If the people of Jammu wants CBI enquiry in Asifa Bano case why she does not accept our demand," said Advocate Sharma.
The advocate said that if PDP wants CBI probe in Shopian murder case saying it had no faith in state police why can't the state government now when the party is in government not accept our demand. He said that they will not accept anything less than a probe by CBI. |
