B S Slathia, Sr. Advocate, President, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, stated that the Association had given an ultimatum to the Government to withdraw the controversial directions issued by the Chief Minister of J&K State till 15th of March, 2018 but despite lapse of said period the State Government had failed to initiate any step to withdraw the said illegal directions/ decisions and consequently the work remained paralyzed in all the courts. He further stated that the Association had also urged the State Government to deport the illegally settled Rohangias / Bangladesi in an around Jammu, in order to maintain peace and brotherhood in Jammu region, besides, bring to book the real culprits of Rasana murder/ rape case of District Kathua, by handing-over the investigation of the case from Crime branch to CBI, as the investigation carried out by the Crime branch is totally biased and has vitiated the peaceful atmosphere of District Kathua , as it is causing unnecessary harassment to innocent people instead of apprehending and proceeding against the real culprits. Besides, the State Government, has completely failed to timely respond to the genuine aspirations/ demand of the people of Nowshera, Sunderbani & Kalakote etc. where the people are observing complete Bandh for the last more than 25 days which is a matter of serious concern and the State Government has maintained deliberate silence , thereby causing inconvenience and hardships to the people of these areas. Slathia appealed to the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to immediately intervene in the matter and save the otherwise peaceful atmosphere of Jammu region from taking an ugly turn. |
