JAMMU, Mar 22: India Against Corruption has expressed grief over the killing of JKAP policemen during an encounter with Pak sponsored militants in Helmatpora in district Kupwara the other day.
Paying tributes to martyrs here today during a meeting of office bearers IAC state cordinator and social activist Sunil Pandita lambasted state government for its failure to provide appropriate security to policemen who display their duty in sensitive areas of militancy infested valley. He said two Kashmiri bravehearts were martyred in furious encounter between Pakistan sponsored militants and security forces in Helmatpora forests in district Kupwara besides three other jawans of security forces. He said Mehbooba government has profoundly failed to provide intensified security to JKAP personnel who perform their duty in militancy infested valley in adverse circumstances. Meanwhile SGCt Dilip Thussu who attained martyrdom yesteday at Kupwara during an encounter alongwith another brave heart of Kashmir SPO Mohd.Yousuf was today flown to Jammu. His last rites were performed at Jagti camp by his family members in presence of thousands of mourners. |
