Martyr cremated with full state honours, thousands join 3/22/2018 11:28:03 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 22: Martyr Deepak Kumar Thussoo (SPO) of JKP who sacrificed his life for nation during an encounter with militants at check Fateh Khan Halmatpora of north Kashmir's Kupwara district yesterday, cremated today with full of state honour on the banks of river at his momentary residence Jagti township in tehsil Nagrota. Thousands of people drawn from adjoining areas of Jammu division including the people of Jagti Township along with his family members and relatives joined the funeral procession. Heart rendering scenes were witnessed with relatives and friends of the martyr wailing and sobbing as the body of this brave cop wrapped in tricolor reached at his momentary residence around 1P.M today. His cremation took place at the banks of river near Jagti township with guard of honour presented by the Jawans of J&K police, among the senior police officers who attended the cremation of SSP Jammu Dy.SP Nagrota , Chowki Officer Nagrota. MLA Nagrota Davinder Singh Rana (JKNC) including the Relief Commissioner M.L. Raina and others also paid glowing tribute this valiant cop with 7 gun salute. Before it all the minister for disaster Management Relief Rehabilitation and Floriculture Javid Mustafa Mir attended the condolence meet at the residence of departed soul and express his shock over the unpleasant incident have taken place on yesterday. Large number of women, children, and adults among the Kashmiri Pandits staged protest demonstration and blocked the Jammu -Srinagar national high way near Jagti township with shouted slogans" "Pakistan Murdabad, Jagti wale Jag Jav Dushmano ko Bhagav" Bharat Mata Ki jai -Vande Matram. While shouting slogans against the terrorist and separatists, the protestors said that the government should taken stern action against them as how long the minority community and army men will suffer through their hands.
