| Grameen Bank conducts 358 awareness programmes on 'Going Digital' | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 22: J&K Grameen Bank conducted 358 Awareness Programmes on the theme of "Going Digital" and Village Level Programmes in the month of March 2018 throughout the J&K State. Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD conducted 358 awareness programmes on the theme of "GOING DIGITAL" and Village Level Programmes in remote unbanked villages in the month of March 2018 throughout the J&K State. Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager, MF&FI Department, J&K Grameen Bank, educated the participants regarding various tailor-made deposits and loan schemes of the Bank. The participants were also appraised about the Social Security Schemes launched by the Govt. of India i.e. PMSBY, PMJJBY and Atal Pension Yojana for the welfare of the common man.
He applauded that J&K Grameen Bank laying an "increased focus" on the Pradhan Mantri Jhan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) aimed at achieving 100 percent coverage of remote households in the formal financial system.
He enlightened that the programmes were being organised across the state to mobilise people towards joining the banking system. Regional Managers of various Districts, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that these programmes focuses on to give information to SHG members. |
