Mendhar, May 6: The inhabitants of Mendhar town have complained that Mendhar Nallah has been turned into garbage dump with locals disposing-off waste into it and Rural Development Department Mendhar officials have turned a blind eye.
"The dumping site emanates foul smell causing immense hardships to the passerby and shopkeepers," the locals said.
The residents said that despite apprising the officials about the pathetic condition of Nallah, they failed to do anything substantial. "The government hasn't taken any measure to clean the Nallah," the residents said. According to the residents, the Nallah water was used for drinking purposes, has been polluted.
The residents urged the senior functionaries in the administration to take immediate action in this regard. |
