Jammu, May 6: A National Exhibition of Visual Arts tilled "Pratibimb II" organized by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu at Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar concluded today. According to press release, the exhibition dedicated to Late. Avtar Singh, a veteran Sculptor of Amritsar. A valedictory ceremony was organized on this occasion where A S Gill, Advisor JKCCA and former Assistant Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region was the Chief Guest. Manbir Singh Khehra, DM Cooperation was the Guest of Honour where as Jang S. Verman, senior artist and columnist on art and culture was the Special Guest on this occasion. The works of senior and young artists of the different states of the country have been displayed in the exhibition. The art works of the artists N D Jamwal, T S Batra, Jang S Verman, Shafi Chaman, O P Sharma, Anila Singh Charak, Payal Chadha Gupta, Bhupinder Singh Sudan and Kunain Zubair (J&K), V S Rahi and Dr. A K Dixit (New Delhi) Prabhinder Lall and Harpuneet Kaur (Chandigarh), K S Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Nisha, Sudhamani Sood, Mala Chawla, Gaytri, Inderpreet Kaur, Gursharan Kaur, Narinder Singh, Atul Mattu, and Kavi Chouhan (Punjab) and Kuanain Zubair. Mamta Patel and Raghini Tripathi (Gujrat), Minu Dey (West Bengal), Pratima Singh (UP) were displayed in the show. The art works of these artists depicted different styles and themes in various mediums and techniques. Welcoming the guests O P Sharma, Director JKCCA gave a brief of the exhibition at IAFA, Amritsar. |
