JAMMU, June 24: To save a top police officer's relative, who while driving a car had last September hit a pedestrian on a city road, resulting in his death, cash to the family and a bank job to his son have allegedly been provided.
A deal is also alleged to have been struck between the police officer and the victim's family for a compromise in the court of law, according to police sources.
"The police officer made use of money and a bank job to save the accused. For this purpose, the services of some senior police officers were also utilised," the sources claimed.

SRINAGAR, June 24: The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has pulled up J&K government for overlooking gross violations of rules in JK Small Scale Industries Development Corporation wherein undue benefits were accorded to contractors.
