Govt's camouflaged damage control exercise not settling well with villagers' wrath

Sunderbani, July 6: As National Conference-Congress combine seems to have embarked upon their respective consolidation process in the state to make the inroads back into the minds and the hearts of the people, the process seems not to go well with both as their earlier misdoings are boomeranging upon their credibility which is a remote possibility for them to escape of.
One such glaring example of total neglect is reported from Naushera constituency where the NC MLA Radhey Sham Sharma riding the coalition nonchalance has been enjoying the privilege to be the MLA of the area not caring about the grass root problems of the people which has started showing off now.
The residents of Varrnar village in the remote Sunderbani area who have been listing their grievances with the state administration including with the MLA Sunderbani to take the cognizance of the dilapidated road in the area have made up their minds either to exercise NOTA in the coming elections , not to vote to any party or go for their mandate to the party that comes to their help at this time of distress when the area has been cut off from the rest of the world in the monsoon period where the entire road has been washed away.
The grievance listed with the Minister of Roads and Buildings, Abdul Majid Wani who gave audience to their problems seems to be the last resort for their succor are of the opinion that the state administration may prevail over their problems and fish them out of their tribulations.
" I have directed the Divisional Engineer to immediately look into the problem and take the necessary steps to relieve the people of their problems . All pending works would be taken up immediately so that the people should not feel deprived and marooned in the monsoon season," said Abdul Majid Wani , when contacted by this Early Times reporter.
The Early Times to get the feedback also contacted the Divisional Engineer Mohammad Parvez Iqbal who assured that the work would be taken on the priority basis.
"Yes, I have received the orders from the minister to look into the grievances of the people of the area and have directed my lower hierarchy to immediately take up the damage control exercise. The road would be restored in shortest possible time," assured Mohammad Parvez Iqbal.
However the residents of the villages that include Nala Makol, Varnarra and Nahoti where the voter population touches nearly 4000 mark are not settled with the assurance and have said that such guarantees have been a frequent from the assurance , but without any grass root level development.
"It is just another lollipop, but we would not be assured unless and until the National Conference MLA visits the spot and takes up the construction work until its logical conclusion," said Hem raj , a resident of Varnarra, Sunderbani.
